Segment Manager – Transportation

Objective:
The Segment Manager responsible for defining the corresponding segment strategy and achieve sales target through identify product / application, top 10 project sales, multiply the success to all sale team, and develop marketing activities to gain market share from competitors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Transportation Industry strategy, focus on top 10 railway projects pursuit and key accounts to achieve sales target in Transportation Industry.
- Collect application solutions and cases of rolling stock and signal in transportation segment. Propose new product development plan according to segment application situation.
- Responsible for establishing and maintain a long-term strategic development cooperative relationship with Railway transportation ministry and . Enhance company brand with deep penetration in the segment.
- In charge of daily communication with global segment managers to support international segment management
- Build good relationship with railway ministry, and increase segment penetration in railway industry.
- Visit related key segment customers regularly to get customer & competitor’s information, typical product application cases, reference list and develop good relationship.
- Develop a systematic approach and strategy to support key accounts, through regular visit customers, constantly explore more new accounts, and provide services to maximize sales.
- Provide technical & Application support, conduct seminar, recommends solution to customers.
- Support sales teams to provide suitable and competitive solution and application knowledge, give action suggestion against them.
- Maintain a complete record of market trends, customer needs, industry regulations and competitor activities.
- Support & participate new product developing project proposals.
- Provide weekly and monthly report on the key account status and develop contingency plan to compensate any significant deviations on sales.
- Share success story internally.
- Co-operate with other departments in WITS and WI related segment department to reach target.
- Keep close communication with WI Industry Manager and get support to develop China Transportation Market, especially in railway sub-segment.
- Always conduct oneself in a personal and professional manner consistent with the guidelines of the Company Mission Statement, employee handbook regulations and all other policies.
- Professionally manage company’s asset and control expense within budget allowance.
Requirements:
- University degree above in railway industry, especially railway signal system, automation control area or power distribution area.
- At least 5 years sales experiences in electric or components, apparatus production firm, tracking and operation in the above fields.
- Have related background in one of railway industry. Excellent Application knowledge in railway signal system preferred.
- Have capability and experiences in team management, key account development and team work spirit.
- Task oriented a good planner.
- Command of written and oral English, German is a plus.
- Be mature, honest, and trustworthy.
- Computer skill;
- Willing to trip frequently, and strong ability to work under pressure
